It’s spring, young tigers are stretching, and looking for some hard class 4 and 5 boating; spring is low water season so for challenging Kayaking you’re going to have to explore the deep gorges and upper reaches of some of the more powerful rivers in the Himalaya – wild gorges and wild times!

The below program designed for support raft, camping accommodation and meals service arrangement, our professional river guide and other crews handle everything. The meal will be provided enroute and camping place.

Suggested Itinerary 1

Combine trip of Paddle & Trekking down to Sunkoshi and Tamur

Sunkoshi River: 08 days The Sun Koshi (river of gold) is the best classic extended Kayaking trip of Nepal. We offer kayaking trip on Sunkoshi approximate 7 to 8 days. It has big rapids, more remote trip, warm water and great camping place , rapids grade IV-V .

Here is the suggested Plan

Day 1: Morning start drive to Dolalghat, the rafting starting point of Sunkoshi, Arrive on the river, fix the gears and get ready for rafting. Till now our crews will be prepare the lunch. After lunch your expedition leader will deliver a safety talk and provide for the trip. After 4 hours kayaking choose the campsite on the river beach, evening dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Your trip will continue further - you will encounter a big class IV+rapid “ Meat Grinder”. Right after few meters below you’ll meet another river called Tama Kosi. The camp will be set on the left with a beach on the confluence.( Kayking-5-6 hours)

Day 3: After few kilometers below with the confluence of the Likhu Khola you’ll encounter a class III+ rapid Anxiety’ soon followed by a long class 4 rapid ‘High Anxiety’ with a large hole on the left halfway down and a series of holes at the bottom. Continue floating and overnight camp. (Kayking-6-7 hours)

Day 4: Starting with several class II to III+ rapids you will be encountered one of the hardest rapid named ‘Harkapur” class V. After few kilometers rafting, camp at Raighat after the confluence of Dudhkoshi from Mt. Everest region. (Kayking-6-7 hours)

Day 5: The river starts widen from today. After some II to III class rapids you encounter with another nice rapid called “Jaws” class IV+. Continue paddling and camp on the riverside. (Kayking-6-7 hours)

Day 6: You will encounter few IV+ rapids this day followed by Jungle corridor; the long continuous whitewater and both side waterfalls make your wonderful experience. Overnight camp near by the waterfall (Kayking-6-7 hours)

Day 7: This is the second last day of the of classic Sunkoshi. You will encounter few III+ rapids, overnight camp nearby Ranitar. (Kayking-6-7 hours)

Day 8: The last stretch of river which brings you to the last class IV+ ‘Big Dipper’ is a series of huge standing waves. A few kilometer later Big Arun and Tamur joins together to form the Sapta Kosi. Then you float along on the powerful current, the hills dramatically give way to totally flat Terai and the northern plains of India. This is the end of a classic and memorable river journey. We will end our trip to Sunkoshi at Chatara (Kayaking 2-3 hours)

TAMUR EXPEDITION DETAILS 3 days Trekking/6days/Kayaking:

The trek follows a ridge line with a view of Everest, Makalu: finally arrive Dovan where Tamur river put in point.

Day 09 to 12: After completing Sunkoshi drive to Basantapur and over night at a tea house lodge. Next day start 4 days trek from Basantapur to Dobhan,:
Day 09: Arranged transport by our company and drive 6-7 hour journey to Basantapur, the trek starting point and over night camp.
Day 10: You will start a three-day trek after breakfast into the heart of eastern Nepal. This day we camp at Chauki for overnight camp.
Day 11: Trek from Chauki to Guphapokhari enjoying the views of local life and culture.
Day 12: This day is the final day trekking of your entire trip to “The best of the East”. You will trek from Guphapokhari to Dovan having the great views Himalayan range of East Nepal and its natural beauty.
Day 13-18: Paddle the Tamur River to Chatra. Grade IV+ with continuous rapids, 130 rapids in 120 kms, total 155 Km river action, the Tamur is described as an exciting paddle trip for any fit or active boater. Finally your trip will end at Chatara and drive to Kathamndu arrive Kathamndu Next day morning, ( if you are too tired take a flight) Or take option flight from Birtanagar and take evening flight to Kathmandu. End trip in Kathamndu!

We practice and follow minimum impact polices on our every outdoor journey- by using gas or kerosene as a cooking fuel instead of local firewood. Moreover by disposing and cleaning both biodegradable and non-degradable properly from the campsite.
