'I first came to Nepal as an independent traveler in 1991 to trek in the Everest region. I had read many guide books and spoken to other trekkers but none of this had fully prepared me for my month in Nepal. I soon befriended the staffs of my hotel who were extremely helpful and a friendship developed which was to last in future years.
In 1993 some friends came to Nepal from the UK and I put them in touch with my contacts that had now started their own Rafting company name “Mountain River Rafting”. They were made extremely welcome and found them to be equally as helpful in assisting them with their plans.
In 1996 I returned to Nepal to undertake the Annapurna Circuit and found that the rafting company had expanded and were now also in the trekking business. Once again my contacts and good friends assisted me greatly in a successful expedition.
I returned for what I thought would be my final trek in 1998, completing both Langtang and Helambu.
I have remained in contact with my friends at Mountain River Rafting and have directed many independent and groups of travelers to their agency over the years and all have reported a first class service and lasting friendship.
I have been fortunate enough to return to the Everest region one more time with some work colleagues and have again been able to take advantage of the first class service provided by my friends.
Three out of the four members of my party are now in their forties and we were concerned about the terrain and altitude which I had previously struggled with some thirteen years previous. All my fears were quashed when I again called upon the services of this company.
I have been more than impressed by the professionalism and enthusiasm which has become the trade mark of Tej & his staff and will continue to promote their services as much as possible in the knowledge that it is first class.


If you ever find yourself traveling to Nepal then you must pay them a visit. Not only will you have a great time whether it be trekking or rafting but will also make everlasting, true friends.

It’s been more than a week since we came back from exotic Nepal trekking around the Annapurna range and we are still talking about the camping and tea house experience. Your porters had been very hard working, being multi lingual and always making sure our picnic lunch was ready and piping hot before we reached our destination. A team from Mountain River Rafting Mr. Dhan Sing, Mr. Pema, Mr. Niama are great porters and cook the best Pizzas and apple fritters in Pokhara!

The tents we slept in were very spacious and clean compared to the ones I have been in my other camping holidays.
The camping grounds designated were perched on a side of a cliff giving us great views of the Annapurna mountains when we open our tents.
The river rafting was also wonderful. Rafting experience in Trishuli river, our guide from Mountain River Rafting Mr. Shankar Shrestha and his paddle team was very professional, giving us the safety rules and teaching us how to paddle before commence white water rafting. Some of us are first time campers, so it was a good and memorable experience.
I am quite sure I will be back to Nepal soon thanks to your accommodating service, friendliness and warmth of the local people!

I would like to thank you for excellent trip on Sun Koshi river.

When I came to Nepal, I have planned to do a long rafting (I haven't any day+ rafting experience before)
I have asked by email few companies and selected Mountain River Rafting for good price and quick response.
When I arrived the experience was much greater that I expected. The best things were very friendly staff and Great River.
Our guide Amar Magar was very friendly and professional. Despite some rain the views were amazing. We also met a lot of local people on the way, and the places were less "touristic" and more native than everything i met later during treks in Nepal.
Food was very good and in these days we tested almost every kind of Nepali food from curry to Tibetan bread.
The river also provided great rafting experience, there were a lot of rapids, some of them like "Harkhapur rapids" were really scary, and we also went to nice waterfall near the shore. Overall it was great experience (you can find pictures here- http://picasaweb.google.com/dima25d/) and one of best parts of my visit to Nepal.

We didn’t have much time in Kathmandu but Mountain River Rafting managed to give us a taste of Nepal in just 3 days. We had a breathtaking Mt. flight around the Himalayas and a genuine slice of life hiking to Nagarkot through the fields & irrigation ditches. The people were warm and the views excellent. That was day one. The next day we did a run (rafting) on the Bhote koshi. While lower in the wafer, it is do able at our level and about as exciting as you can safely do. Again our guides were excellent and cared about us having fun. Even the driver in and out was fascinating. Stay awake and watch your driver work magic (MRR’s drivers are good and took great care of us). Lastly we did a half day tour in the city, seeing temples, taking tea with a shop keeper, and shopping over Pashmina’s in Darbar Square. We thought about doing it alone, but are glad we had an experienced local guide, and a good driver. For the interesting information and place of mind, it wasn’t expensive. All around, a blast, Thanks MRR!

Mountain River Rafting made my trip to Nepal an unforgettable experience. I booked my rafting trip online and Tej was very accommodating. When I arrived in Nepal, my husband and I wanted to set up a trek and a jungle safari, and we were able to do so with Mountain River Rafting. The rafting trip on the Sun Khosi/Tamur was fabulous, and the guides were very knowledgeable and well-trained.
We were guided around the Annapurna Circuit by Pasang, who taught us more than we could have learned from a guide book. Our jungle safari in Chitawon National Park was a great way to relax before we continued on our journey. Thanks, Mountain River Rafting for making our trip to Nepal a trip of a lifetime! ‘I thought that I would take one rafting trip when I got to Nepal, I had heard that it was good there. That was not true, it was amazing! I postponed my flight to Thailand, stayed in Nepal for an extra month and took as many rafting trips as my credit card would sustain.
